On a recent visit to Co.Clare I had lunch in Logue’s pub in Ballyvaughan. You walk into a small bar with fire, really cosy, which then opens into an increasingly larger bar area, losing some charm on the way. Service was really pleasant and prompt. The menu was varied and there were some daily specials.
I chose the chowder which was generous, creamy and hot, though the seafood was sparse. It came with plenty of bread. I suspect that the chowder was thickened with flour as I found a lump if it that hadn’t mixed in properly. Otherwise, it was ok.
The search for the best chowder in Ireland continues…
