Posted on Oct 13, 2010 by admin_ao | Comments (0)
South West Mayo Development Company has identified the potential of the small food sector in the South West Mayo area and recognises the need to stimulate and generate ideas on the development of the small food sector. To achieve this aim Oonagh Monahan will offer support through firstly providing an information evening, secondly providing one to one mentoring/consultation and finally providing training relevant to this sector. The information sessions are for people interested in producing fruit and vegetables, salads, chutney and jam making, home baking, cheese, ice-cream or other dairy products, meat, fish and poultry products, organics, catering and suppliers to Farmers Markets and other food related production. There will be the chance to avail of one to one mentoring/consultation with Oonagh after the information sessions. Two information evenings are planned with an experienced Food Specialist, on October 19th in the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris and October 20th in Hotel Westport, Westport, both at 8pm. The sessions are free and everyone is welcome! For further information on this project feel free to contact Lorraine Toner in South West Mayo Development Company, ltoner@southmayo.com, 098 41950. This project is assisted South West Mayo Development Company through the Rural Development Programme 2007-2013 which is part-financed by the European Union and the Department of Community Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs« Return to News Page
